Dr. James P. Cardon is Hartford HealthCare’s (HHC’s) chief clinical integration officer and CEO of Integrated Care Partners, a clinical integration organization, which includes HHC-employed physicians (Hartford HealthCare Medical Group), as well as private-practice physicians. Integrated Care Partners is responsible for improving access to care; developing and implementing evidence-based best practices; reducing variability of care; and defining, measuring and managing clinical excellence for member physicians. Integrated Care Partners will engage with payers and employers to develop innovative payment methodologies to align financial incentives with clinical objectives.

Dr. Cardon, a cardiologist for more than 20 years, is a senior staff member of Hartford Hospital’s Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology. Dr. Cardon graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Boston College and earned his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Cardon is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and in Cardiovascular Disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Connecticut State Medical Association and the Hartford County Medical Association.
